Swimming

We took Samantha to the pool for the first time today. She absolutely loved splashing and playing in the water. Grandma Suzy, Uncle Dax and cousin Nash joined us for some fun in the sun. Samantha loved all the attention from her cousin. It was so hot outside but Samantha didn't seem to mind the heat she was to busy playing in the pool. Her favorite thing was having Toby "fly" her across the water. We enjoyed being poolside. Now that we know Samantha loves the water too, I'm sure we will be spending lots of time in the water this summer. Daddy's glad he has a little water baby!

Back to work

First Piggy-Tails!

For the past two weeks I was back at work teaching summer school. I love being back at school but I really missed being at home with Samantha. My mom was able to come and watch her both weeks which was such a big help. It was much easier to leave her knowing she was in such good hands. Grammy was just as excited to be spending all that time with little Samantha. Samantha had her 6 month well check this month. She is now 16lbs and 24inches. The Dr. joked that I might have my hands full as soon as Samantha starts crawling and walking because she was all over the place and grabbing everything in sight! Samantha has begun to roll to get where she wants to go and I've seen some attempts at an army crawl. We better get a move on baby proofing the house!

6 Months Old

I can't believe Samantha is 1/2 a year old. It is true what they say about babies growing up fast and as much as I'd love Samantha to stay a baby forever with each new stage it gets better and better. I feel so blessed to have been able to stay home for the past six months and experience everything as it happens for the first time. I absolutely love being a mom and Samantha is the sweetest little love ever.
