Teething

The cutest little toothy smile!

For the past 2-3 months Samantha has been showing signs of teething. She would chew on everything and drool all over the place. I'd say I needed to change her bib about 3x a day. Everyone that would see her chewing and drooling would tell me she's going to get teeth, so I've been waiting and waiting for these teeth to emerge. I figured that I would know that she was about to have a tooth brake through because she wouldn't be able to sleep at night and would be fussy during the day (that's what I'd been told.) So last Wednesday to my surprise I saw a little white shiny thing in her mouth. I quickly felt in her mouth and was shocked to find two bottom teeth popped through. I was so excited and she looked even cuter with her new smile. She spent the next few days wiggling her tongue around feeling her new little pearly whites! Looking back I did notice that she seemed clingy but that is the only thing I noticed different. Most of her bottom teeth have come in halfway and I was finally able to get a good picture of them. She seemed to want to show them off today!

How I'll miss that gummy grin :)

7 Months Old

I don't know where this last month has gone. Samantha has kept me so busy that it seemed to just fly by. She has begun to creep along the ground and will roll across the entire room so quickly that I can't take my eyes off of her for a second. She is interested in everything she can get her hands on. It seems that the things she finds especially appealing are things that are not even toys; remote, my glasses, necklaces, watches, rings (she seems to notice all accessories a person wears). Maybe she's a fashonista in the making. She already has her little "Model Pose" down. It's really cute to see her balance herself on her side and just hold the pose.

Strike a Pose

I took Samantha to get her ears pierced and had my mom and sister come along for support. I had been debating on whether or not to get it done and then finally realized if I didn't do it now I would probably never take her. Although she did scream she was easily calmed and seemed to quickly forget about it once we left the store. She hasn't even tried to touch or play with them once since she's had them.
