Smiles

Our beautiful little Samantha is becoming quite the social butterfly. She loves it when Toby and I talk to her, sing to her, and play with her. She just gets the biggest grin on her face and will try and talk back to us by cooing or doing one of her loud shout outs. She loves playing on her activity mat so she can hit her toys and kick her legs. It's so funny to see her get her little legs going. She sometimes will only kick one leg up and down so it looks like she's starting a motorcycle, Toby and I just laugh when she does this which makes her smile and giggle too.
We went Friday to get pictures taken. Samantha did so well until one of the ladies kept making a loud high pitch squealing noise to try and make her smile, it was worse than some of the American Idol rejects, well Samantha wasn't having anything to do with this lady thank goodness we got most of the pictures done before she came into the room. Samantha is very content and easy going therefore she doesn't like it when her chi gets disturbed! A couple mornings ago I saw that Samantha was captivated by the TV so I turned on Sesame Street and Ernie was on, she just couldn't contain her smile while she watched this curious creature but when Elmo came on she became a little frightened (he's just to high energy for our chill baby!). I don't plan on continuing to let Samantha watch TV especially this early I just thought it was cute how much more aware she is of her surroundings.

This passed week Samantha has slept through the night. I almost don't want to even talk about it for fear that as soon as I did she'd be awake all night. Toby and I both couldn't believe it the first night it happened we both didn't expect we'd be getting a full night sleep anytime soon. She goes to sleep around 8, sleeps until 5, then I feed her and she goes back to sleep until 8am. Now that Little miss Samantha is sleeping through the night we may soon be moving her to her crib.
