We've been busy getting back into a routine after the holidays. We've also been battling some colds, pink eye and teething. Samantha has had a tough month, she is getting her molars and they've not only been coming through slowly but also two at a time. It has been so tough see her in pain and trying to figure out how to help. We tried Tylenol but it just made her wired so she couldn't sleep. So we rubbed on some teething gel and she would still seem to be uncomfortable. Finally we gave her teething tablets and they seemed to do the trick. She was able to get some relief but as soon as they wear off she'd be miserable so I'd try to make sure to give them to her before that could happen. With all the teething, runny noses, and no sleep she just hasn't been herself. All this rain has also put a damper on our moods since we've been cooped up in the house so much. The past two nights Samantha has finally been able to sleep all night and we actually saw some sun this week. It was a much needed recharge for both of us. We took along walk and stopped by the park for some swinging action and bird watching (her new fave).
Still not walking on her own but making some strides here and there. She no longer walks on her tiptoes which gives her the balance she needs to take off on her own. She has taken five steps on her own but she is not fully confident enough to continue further. We know it's only a matter of time before she's off and running so I'm enjoying these moments that she relies on me to carry and hold her because once she's walking she'll be little miss independent.
